AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A ZONING CHANGE FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTICT TO C-2 COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 118 EAST GRAND AVENUE, MEMPHIS, MISSOURI 63555
WHEREAS, an application was received from Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc., for a zoning change from R-1 Residential Zoning District to C-2 Commercial Zoning District for the property located at 118 East Grand Avenue, Memphis, Missouri 63555; and
WHEREAS, said application was duly referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, a meeting before the Planning and Zoning Commission was held on January 25, 2023, upon the application, notice of which was published and posted according to law and ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission submitted its recommendation to the Board of Aldermen with the recommendation being that a zoning change from R-1 Residential Zoning District to C-2 Commercial Zoning District for the property located at 118 East Grand Avenue, Memphis, Missouri 63555, be approved in accordance with the application received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF MEMPHIS, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A zoning change from R-1 Residential Zoning District to C-2 Commercial Zoning District for the property located at 118 East Grand Avenue, Memphis, Missouri 63555, is hereby approved.
Section 2. The City of Memphis Official Zoning Map is hereby amended by designating on said map the below described real property, which is currently designated as R-1 Residential Zoning District, as C-2 Commercial Zoning District:
A tract described as: beginning 100 feet East of a point where the South right-of-way line of the C.B.&Q. Railroad intersects the West line of Sub-lot 1 of Lot 24 of Oak Ridge Addition to the Original town, now City of Memphis, thence West 100 feet along said South right-of-way line of C.B.&Q. Railroad to said point of intersection with the West line of Sub-lot 1 of Lot 24, thence South 36° 30’ West to the Southwest corner of Sub-lot 3 of Lot 25 of Oak Ridge Addition to Memphis, thence East along the South line of said Sub-lot 3 of Lot 25 aforesaid to a point due South of the point of beginning, thence North to the point of beginning, in Scotland County, Missouri. Subject to all public and private roads and easements as the same now be located. 23-1

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AFTER HAVING BEEN READ BY TITLE TWO TIMES PRIOR TO PASSAGE BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF MEMPHIS, MISSOURI, THIS 2ND DAY OF MARCH, 2023.
